Vaccines For Children Program (VFC)

The Vaccines for Children Program is a federally funded vaccine program for children under age 19 who have no health insurance coverage, insurance that does not cover vaccines, or Medicaid Title 19 / Medicaid Managed Care. If you are not sure if your insurance covers vaccines, please contact your insurance company. We cannot administer VFC vaccines to children who do not qualify for the VFC program.

Private Vaccine Program

Currently, the health department offers privately purchased vaccines for children over age 4 and adults. We have both infant and pediatric influenza doses available for all children over 6 months of age. We are able to bill several private insurances. Call today to see if your insurance is accepted.

Behind on Immunizations?

Contact the WCHD nursing staff and they will schedule you an appointment to create a personalized schedule. At this appointment, we evaluate previous immunizations, listen to parental concerns/questions, educate about herd immunity and disease processes, and create a schedule that best fits the infant’s needs that you can present at any clinic. This service is not a part of the VFC program, sliding scale fees apply.
