Break the Habit
The Woodford County Health Department would like to announce a program offered to residents in Woodford County entitled "Break the Habit." The program may allow smokers some financial assistance with the purchase of nicotine replacement, such as nicotine replacement patches, gum or lozenges. In addition to the nicotine replacement therapy assistance, the program will also offer free one-on-one telephone support for smokers through the Illinois Tobacco Quitline (866-QUIT YES or 866-784-8937). For more information, call 309-467-3064.
Woodford County Health Department also serves as a vehicle for the Illinois Tobacco Quitline. Through the Tobacco Quitline, Woodford County residents can receive free vouchers for nicotine replacement patches, gum or lozenges, as well as other tools to help them quit smoking.

Important Dates to Remember
Freedom From Smoking
Freedom From Smoking is a program specifically designed for adults, like you, who want to quit smoking. It's the American Lung Association's gold standard, group clinic that has helped thousands of smokers to quit for good.
FFS takes you through modules, each containing several lessons. These lessons include valuable information and most of them contain an assignment that you are to complete before moving on. The assignments reinforce the messages in each lesson and your commitment to quit.
FFS does not begin with quitting. The program takes you through several lessons first, ensuring that solid information about preparing to quit is given before Quit Day.
